Project Urja, is an influential and impactful program, which has covered about 74 villages and has reached 286 Urjas. We’ve actually captured one of their stories in our recent blog, (https://projecturja.wixsite.com/blog/post/star-urja-bagubai-gode-khodala-mokhada) so read that to see a personal story of their impact!
Women’s entrepreneurship throws a plethora of benefits our way. From economic and financial changes to societal developments, our evolving country sees their impacts everyday.
These passionate women’s capabilities create a tremendous influence and help in the growth of the nation’s economy. Hence women entrepreneurs instill confidence and motivate other women to start businesses of their own. This reduces the gender-gap in the workforce and creates more job opportunities for women.
This paves the way for female education and thus influences more women to work in the future. This pushes women to feel the sense of financial independence that one feels from working. Just like education, when one woman starts a business, others in the family are also encouraged to.
This overall eradicates the narrow-mindedness of the rural population and contributes to our country’s development. Hopefully, the coming future sees these female-based stereotypes to be crushed.
